This summer, three undergraduate chapter sweethearts will attend the 80th Grand Chapter in San Diego as nominees to become the Fraternity’s 2015 to 2017 International Sweetheart.
“Serving as International Sweetheart is a once in a lifetime experience. You’ll have the opportunity to meet brothers and Sweethearts from all walks of life, or as we like to say in Sigma Chi: different temperaments, talents, and convictions,” says 2013 to 2015 International Sweetheart Mary Sugden. “In these two years, you will grow, learn, push yourself, and ultimately love this fraternity in ways you never imagined.”
Nomination materials are due to the sweetheart selection committee by March 1, 2015. Nominees and their sponsoring chapters will be informed of the committee’s selection no later than May 1.
During her two-year term, an International Sweetheart will attend Grand Chapter, Grand Council and Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, and has the opportunity to travel to other chapter events such as anniversaries, leadership retreats and province workshops.
