Life Loyal Sigs are part of a brotherhood of young and old alumni who continue to reap the benefits of Sigma Chi membership long after their college years are over. Life Loyal Sigs exemplify the prosperity, achievement, idealism and deep sense of personal responsibility that we all wish for ourselves and our families. A Life Loyal membership is the best way for members to take part in the enduring spirit and heritage of Sigma Chi.
The first Life Loyal Sig was William “Pop” Henning, DEPAUW 1890, who is most commonly known for leading the Fraternity through the difficult years of the World War I era. Since that time, more than 56,000 brothers have become Life Loyal Sigs.

Today's Sigma Chi is a catalyst for aspiring transformational leaders — young men who seek lifelong learning so they can positively impact our world. And they are doing exactly that right now by serving as Student Body Presidents at 10% of our universities (we are less than 0.1% of the student body), raising significant funds toward the important research at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and other charities, and contributing, on average, more community service hours than many service-based organizations.
Choosing to be Life Loyal is a small way to have a big impact because your annual giving, at all levels, funds the leadership program and academic scholarships and support provided to these young men.

While existing Life Loyal Sigs, prior to 2019, receive all prior guaranteed benefits, including a subscription to The Magazine of Sigma Chi, brothers and friends who make a gift to support the Annual Fund will receive new benefits including a brand new annual challenge coin from the Foundation that will make its debut in Fall 2024.
Each year, donors at the Annual ($999 or less) or White Cross Trust ($1,000+) levels, between the July 1 to June 30 fiscal year, will receive this exclusive annual challenge coin recognizing their commitment to support Sigma Chi's greatest need — transformational leadership programs, academic scholarships and much more.
First-time or new donors to the Life Loyal Sig Annual Fund will receive a Life Loyal package that includes a membership certificate, Life Loyal pin and digital subscription to the Magazine of Sigma Chi.*
