The International Fraternity’s New Chapter Development Committee and Executive Committee voted June 7 to approve the applications of two interest groups to be recognized as official colonies. The California State University San Marcos and University of North Carolina at Charlotte groups are comprised of 22 and 17 men, respectively, and have assumed the colony names Sigma Chi Delta and Sigma Chi Alpha.

The Sigma Chi International Fraternity now includes 241 chapters, nine colonies and two interest groups across North America.
