Trout brings over 10 years of experience working in higher education, serving in different capacities within financial aid, as an adjunct faculty member and roles related to student enrollment support. He is also a professional coach, having attained certifications through the Radiant Coaches Academy, Co-Active Training Institute and International Coaching Federation. Trout intends to obtain his Master Coach Certification through the International Coaching Federation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Austin Peay State University.

“I am incredibly excited and energized by this opportunity and all the possibilities the future holds for SCLI and the Sigma Chi International Fraternity. Sigma Chi is taking our values out into a world in desperate need of [values]. We will transform the culture one light at a time,” Trout said.

Trout uses his spare time to be heavily involved in the local addiction recovery community and advocates for Sigma Chi’s mental health resources.

Effective Sept. 13, 2021, former SCLI Board of Directors member and Order of Constantine Sig Jim Holcomb, CAL. STATE-SACRAMENTO 1994, began his role as Director of Business Development. Holcomb works with partners and clients to identify opportunities for team growth and leadership development. He then identifies SCLI solutions to meet those needs.

Holcomb brings 25 years of volunteer and leadership experience where he cultivated high-performing teams and developed award-winning curriculum. A U.S. Army veteran, he joins SCLI after a 21-year career as a special agent with the U.S. Secret Service. Holcomb holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Education from California State University, Sacramento. Additionally, Holcomb has a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Planning with a leadership and ethics emphasis from the U.S. Naval War College.

“I’m excited to join SCLI and bring our proven solutions to other organizations. Few things excite me more than helping partners strategize ways to become aligned, focused and live their stated values,” Holcomb said.

In his spare time, Holcomb enjoys time with his family and riding his bicycle on the country roads of Tennessee.

Effective Jan. 1, 2022, former Curriculum Development Coordinator Kaitlyn Martin began her new role as Associate Director of Marketing and Communication. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in marketing and sport management from Robert Morris University and a Master of Arts in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“I am honored to continue my work with the team in a position where my strengths can positively impact our organization. While I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Instructional Design Team, I am excited to bring my marketing background to SCLI,” Martin shared.
