On April 15, Sigma Chi announced it would give a one-time gift of $20,000 to the Association of Fraternity/Sorority Advisors Foundation’s (AFA) First 90 Days program, which launches this fall and will deliver training sessions and supplemental educational materials to advisors of Greek-letter chapters across North America.

“This is a historic commitment and partnership for Sigma Chi,” said 68th Grand Consul Mike Greenberg, ILLINOIS WESLEYAN 1982, in a prepared statement. “We admire the work that the AFA does to create a more educated, informed and engaged fraternal community. We saw this as an opportunity to illustrate our core values of friendship, justice and learning, and provide a unique learning experience for fraternity/sorority advisors.”

To take part in the First 90 Days program, participants must be members of the AFA who are beginning their careers as fraternity or sorority advisers. The program’s curriculum is being developed by RISE Partnerships, which specializes in providing training, consulting and curriculum for members of Greek-letter communities.
