If you know of a graduating senior or a recent graduate who would make a good facilitator at the undergraduate level, Sigma Chi International Fraternity Headquarters hopes to help him become an engaged alumnus.
The General Fraternity is looking for young alumni to become participants in its three-day Alumni Facilitation Training (AFT) workshop from July 31 to Aug. 2, 2014, at Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (LTW) at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Headquarters will cover all training-related expenses, including travel to Muncie, food at the workshop and lodging while at Ball State.
Alumni will receive facilitation skill training during the course of five workshops within the Journey chapter workshop and development program. The workshops included within the training are the Strategic Visioning Journey, Responsibility and Accountability Journey, Risk Intervention Journey, Chapter Revolution Journey, and Strengthening Brotherhood Journey.
Once trained, alumni will become facilitators of the Journey program within their local provinces, and will be expected to deliver workshops for their local undergraduate chapters throughout the 2014 to 2015 school year. This opportunity offers a perfect way for graduating seniors to stay engaged with the Fraternity’s undergraduate members.
If you are or know of a brother who would make a great facilitator, please contact Alumni Engagement Coordinator Lucas Peralta, NEW MEXICO 2012, at (847) 869-3655, ext. 227, or at lucas.peralta@sigmachi.org. Once approved by the province’s Grand Praetor, alumni participants will be contacted by Peralta to book their travel to Muncie to attend Balfour LTW as soon as possible.
