The Risk Management Foundation (RMF) will select one summer intern for an undergraduate brother studying the fields of risk management, life safety, and insurance. Starting in June and continuing through early August, the RMF intern will learn first-hand about the organization’s risk management education and insurance programs, while focusing on special projects such as industry research and analysis. Applications are due April 15, and can be accessed at the RMF’s website.
The seven-week pilot internship will last through the duration of the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (LTW), and will have highly flexible start- and end-dates to accommodate the intern’s school and summer schedules as much as possible. The selected intern will be placed at Sigma Chi International Fraternity Headquarters in Evanston, Ill., for the bulk of his time in the program, and will be provided housing at the manor house next door to Headquarters. While on site at Balfour LTW, the intern will be housed with other Headquarters staff.
Upon completion of the program, the intern will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to be used for his academic expenses in the 2015 to 2016 school year. In addition, the RMF will provide a weekly food stipend while the intern is in Evanston, and will pay for the intern’s travel expenses to and from Evanston and Balfour LTW in accordance with the company’s expense guidelines.
