As the beta-testing phase of the General Fraternity’s Crossroads workshop winds down this spring, your chapter can schedule its own workshop for the upcoming school year.
Crossroads is the Fraternity’s new values-based decision-making program regarding alcohol and drugs. It replaces the Choices alcohol and drug education program, which has since been retired and will no longer be offered.
It is important that you submit your request for a Crossroads program during the upcoming school year as soon as possible. The International Fraternity will begin hosting workshops as early as Sept. 1, 2014.
Please click here to schedule a Crossroads program for your chapter. The Fraternity asks interested chapters to submit three dates when they would be available to schedule the workshop at their campuses. Thomas Cowan Bell Chapters will receive preferential scheduling treatment as long as their requests are made prior to the Sept. 1 deadline. Please also note that there is limited funding for Crossroads, and programming is not guaranteed at this time. Requests will be fielded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Following their receipt of a request to host the Crossroads program, Sigma Chi International Fraternity Headquarters will identify a facilitator qualified to deliver the workshop. Any questions about the scheduling process can be directed to Leadership Programs Coordinator David Hackworthy, ST. THOMAS 2012, at david.hackworthy@sigmachi.org.
We ask all chapters to please remember that Crossroads is an experience, not just a Saturday retreat. Interested chapters must submit their requests at least three weeks in advance of when they hope to host the program. This window of time constitutes a crucial pre-session preparatory phase that enriches the delivery of the Crossroads workshop.
