In October, the Sigma Chi Foundation announced that it will disburse scholarships totaling $349,500, a new record, to 226 Sigma Chis hailing from 115 chapters for the duration of the 2015 to 2016 school year. It marks the eighth consecutive year in which the Foundation has increased its scholarship awards by $25,000 or more.

“Generous donations from our donors make it possible for the Sigma Chi Foundation to grant academic scholarships and awards each year,” said Sigma Chi Foundation President and CEO Greg Harbaugh, PURDUE 1978. “Providing scholarships and academic awards furthers the Foundation’s goal to promote academic excellence. This year, we proudly award 226 brothers who have shown outstanding values-based leadership, academic motivation and commitment to their chapters and campuses.”

The scholarships include such notable gifts as the Chuck and Kim Watson Award, which provided $10,000 to Chanse Ward, COLLEGE OF IDAHO 2016; and the John and Nancy Peterson Award, which Graham Spencer, BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN 2016, accepted in the amount of $8,000.
