The Sigma Chi Foundation recently announced that it will award a record $314,000 in scholarships to 228 brothers during the 2014 to 2015 school year. The amount represents a new record for the organization.
“Generous donations from our donors make it possible for the Sigma Chi Foundation to grant academic scholarships and awards each year,” says Sigma Chi Foundation president and CEO Greg Harbaugh, PURDUE 1978. “Providing scholarships and academic awards furthers the Foundation’s goal to promote academic excellence.”
To be eligible to receive scholarships from the Sigma Chi Foundation, applicants must be initiated members of the Fraternity in good standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale for undergraduates, or a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for graduate students. Applicants must also supply their current GPAs and two letters of recommendation.
