In recent weeks, Sigma Chi has learned that its applications to form interest groups at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the University of California, Santa Barbara have been approved by the respective institutions. Accordingly, the Fraternity hopes to begin recruiting new members for the prospective colonies as early as this month, with the eventual goal of installing them as new chapters within the next two years.
“We are always thrilled to have the opportunity to bring new members into our brotherhood, and that is certainly the case with our expansion efforts at UMASS Amherst and UC Santa Barbara,” says Desmond Robinson, TARLETON STATE 2015, expansion team lead at Sigma Chi International Fraternity Headquarters. “Thanks to the hard work of our Headquarters staff and the relationships we’ve fostered with these institutions, we look forward to bringing more brothers into the fold that will bring honor and prestige to Sigma Chi in the years to come.”
