As the busy school year comes to a close for the Fraternity’s 240 undergraduate chapters, Sigma Chi International Headquarters reminds all chapters to submit their Annual Report/Peterson Significant Chapter Award applications.
The report/application is due Wednesday, May 1, 2013, for undergraduates, May 8 for chapter advisors and May 15 for Grand Praetors. Chapters should go here to get started. In order to complete the report, the member submitting his chapter’s information must be registered on sigmachi.com and use his personal sigmachi.com credentials to log in.
Once a chapter has submitted its portion of the annual report, the chapter advisor will be notified to complete his portion, and in turn the Grand Praetor will be notified of the need to complete his portion once the chapter advisor has completed his portion of the report. The chapter's application will be considered complete when the Grand Praetor submits his section of the report on behalf of the chapter.
The annual report's use is two-fold: First, it provides chapters with an opportunity to analyze themselves against guidelines Sigma Chi sets for them and offers feedback, and secondly, the report's completion allows chapters to be eligible to win the Fraternity's major awards, including the Peterson Significant Chapter Award, the James F. Bash Significant Improvement Award, the Daniel William Cooper Outstanding Scholarship Award and the Legion of Honor. There is an optional opportunity to apply for the Robert E. Joseph RMF Award as well.
