The Risk Management Foundation (RMF) will select the 2016 Robert E. Joseph RMF Award recipients through a new process this year by judging applicants on videos they create covering a variety of risk management topics. In previous years, the award was judged through a written application.

In order to ensure that presentations are catchy and informative, submissions must last between 30 and 90 seconds, and convey a message relating to one of the following categories: event and party planning; alcohol education; house and fire safety; social media; or crisis management and disaster preparedness. Each chapter can submit one video in each category, for up to five total submissions.

The RMF expects to award multiple grants ranging from $500 to $2,500. Chapters must submit videos to rmf@sigmachi.org by May 1, and the entries will be judged on their quality, creativity and impact.
