University of Idaho Sigs Claim Daniel William Cooper Award

The Sigs from the University of Idaho came away from the 2016 Balfour Leadership Training Workshop at Bowling Green State University with the Daniel William Cooper Award, which is presented annually to the chapter with the Fraternity's most outstanding scholastic achievement program. The chapter previously won the award in 1949. In addition, the chapter’s brothers received a $5,000 grant to use toward furthering their scholarship program.
The second runner-up was the Western Connecticut State chapter, and the first runner up was the chapter at Albion College. They received scholarship awards of $2,000 and $3,000, respectively.
The Cooper Award is named for Founder Daniel William Cooper, MIAMI (OHIO) 1857, who was Sigma Chi's first Consul.
