Portner was initiaited into the Fraternity's Theta Beta chapter at the University of South Florida on Nov. 12, 2016. Following his initiation, he became Quaestor during his first semester as a brother. He then attended the Horizons Huntsman Leadership Summit and served his chapter as its Consul. He is originally from Switzerland, speaks French as his first language and is a first-generation college student. Portner is a corporate finance major in the University of South Florida's Muma College of Business and is interested in pursuing a career in consulting.
