Jorvis is from Wellborn, Texas, but moved to Bryan, Texas. After graduating from Bryan High School in 2011, he attended Texas A&M University-Kingsville in Kingsville, Texas, where he received his bachelor's degree in communication and his master's in education content in communication. As an undergraduate member, he served his chapter as Consul, Derby Days philanthropic event chairman, recruitment chairman, fundraising chairman and Interfraternity Council president. As an alumnus, he served as the Zeta Pi chapter advisor for three years before returning to TAMUK to obtain his Master’s. Jorvis continues to be active with his chapter and university. When he is not working, you can find him studying for his doctoral degree in Higher Education or on the phone.
As an associate director of expansion, Jorvis is responsible for establishing and supporting associate chapters at new institutions of higher learning and reactivating dormant Fraternity chapters. This includes guiding and mentoring the members of the Fraternity's associate chapters through the organization's chapter installation process.
