To commemorate the Sigma Chi Foundation’s 75th anniversary in 2014, the organization is hosting a celebration breakfast banquet from 8 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 27 during the Fraternity’s 80th Grand Chapter meeting at the Sheraton Hotel and Marina in San Diego. Grand Chapter attendees can participate at no additional cost by signing up for the breakfast when they register to attend the conference by selecting the full-package registration option.
The Foundation welcomes any proceeds, contributions or donations an attendee wishes to make, which will go toward its goal of funding 75 endowed scholarships to mark the organization’s 75th year. In addition, table sponsorships are available; for more information, contact Steve Pracht, PENN STATE 1976, managing director of development at the Foundation.
Guest speakers at the breakfast are expected to include past Foundation chairman Chuck Watson, OKLAHOMA STATE 1972; 56th Grand Consul Bob Joseph, WILLAMETTE 1957; Foundation president and CEO Greg Harbaugh, PURDUE 1978; and representatives of the Fraternity’s Executive Committee. Watson and Joseph are Significant Sigs and Order of Constantine Sigs, while Harbaugh is a Significant Sig.
