In 2007, the Fraternity launched its membership network at sigmachi.com. The website offered members the ability to create accounts through which they could update their contact information; view a directory of the Fraternity’s members; create a personalized email address; and access member-only resources such as the chapter system and new member education system.
On Feb. 16, the Fraternity launched a new membership network at members.sigmachi.org. The new website is dynamically linked to the Fraternity’s membership database, and allows members to update their personal information and search for the contact information of other Sigma Chis. Using the platform’s new features, a member will be able to access information such as his donation and transaction history, or access a list of committees on which a given member has served. Additionally, members can use the site to register for International Fraternity events.
Meanwhile, the chapter system, located at sigmachi.org/chaptersystem, will continue to operate as a one-stop shop for chapter officer functionality such as updating membership reports, submitting chapter financial documents and ordering pledging materials, among others. The new member education system, at sigmachi.org/nmes, will continue to serve as the central training resource for potential new members pledging Sigma Chi. Magisters can log into the page to create a pledge program, while pledges can create an account to peruse the International Fraternity and local chapter’s course material.
Finally, Sigma Chi’s email program, which allows users to create a sigmachi.com email address, has been migrated to Gmail. More information can be found at sigmachi.org/lifetime-email, and specific instructions have been mailed to users already enrolled in that program.
