Sigma Chi Expanding in Chicago

Sigma Chi has been invited to expand to DePaul University for the fall 2013 semester. If you know of any undergraduate legacies who currently attend or plan to attend the university, please reach out to Sigma Chi International Headquarters staff so that we can look into recruiting them to join the interest group. In Sigma Chi’s chapter expansion process, Headquarters employees gather interested students into an Interest group, which then applies to the Executive Committee to be recognized as a colony; only after completing various markers in the colonization process can a group appeal to the Fraternity to be installed as an active chapter.
 
In addition, the Fraternity is looking for alumni volunteers to assist our newest interest group’s development and growth. Serving as an advisor for Sigma Chi chapters and colonies is a very rewarding experience, and your mentorship and leadership will help pave the way for Sigma Chi’s future success at DePaul.
DePaul’s recruitment period begins Wednesday, Sept. 18, and concludes with a formal bidding ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 5.
