The Sigma Chi International Fraternity hosted its annual Balfour Leadership Training Workshop on Aug. 2–5, 2012, at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and it featured a new all-time attendance record for Balfour LTW.
According to Fraternity records, Balfour LTW was attended by 1,901 participants, the largest ever attendance in Fraternity history.
On Saturday, Aug. 4, the Fraternity handed out undergraduate and alumni awards. The 2012 International Balfour Award winner as the Fraternity’s most outstanding senior is Taylor Henderson, OKLAHOMA STATE 2012, who is a mechanical engineering major and a petroleum engineering minor with a 3.70 GPA.
Eighty-three chapters were selected as Peterson Significant Chapters Award winners, including six Peterson Gold winners. The six Peterson Gold Award winners hail from Gettysburg College; University of South Florida; University of New Haven; George Washington University; Bryant University; and Clarkson University.

The Daniel William Cooper Award for outstanding chapter scholarship went to the University of Windsor. Legion of Honor Awards went to: Brown University; The College of Idaho; Southern Mississippi University; University of Toronto-Ryerson; A College in Spring Hill, Ala.; University of Memphis; University of Louisville; Harvard University; Marquette University; University of Kentucky; and Yale University.
