Sigma Chi’s expansion efforts have operated at full speed this fall, having begun a new colonization effort and preparing to install two chapters within the month.
At DePaul University in Chicago, Sigma Chi International Headquarters staff led recruitment efforts that resulted in 19 men formally pledging the Fraternity on Oct. 6, with their first pledge meeting on Oct. 13. Former Headquarters staffer Sam Smith, DENVER 2009, is the group’s colony advisor. If you have questions about the DePaul colony, contact Matt Pagan, NORTH FLORIDA 2010, director of chapter support, at (847) 869–3655, ext. 208, or matt.pagan@sigmachi.org.
On Nov. 9, the Fraternity will welcome 60 new members into its ranks with the installation of the Lambda Upsilon chapter at Bentley University in Waltham, Mass. The installation ceremony will be hosted in Boston. Further inquires, including requests to assist in the installation, can be directed to Kyle Marscellas, CALIFORNIA-IRVINE 2011, director of expansion, at (847) 869-3655, ext. 254, or kyle.marscellas@sigmachi.org.
Finally, Sigma Chi plans to reinstall the Eta Beta chapter at Cal. State–Long Beach on Nov. 23, bringing 46 new brothers into Sigma Chi.
