At this summer Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (LTW) at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., 184 alumni took part in the Fraternity’s Alumni Facilitation Training (AFT) program. Introduced in 2013, the AFT track at Balfour LTW is designed to channel the enthusiasm Sigma Chi’s young graduates have for the Fraternity into productive outlets.
Once they are trained, participants in the AFT program return to their home provinces and chapters, equipped to facilitate undergraduate events such as the Strategic Visioning and Recruiting the Standard Journeys. Since any retreats that AFT members will oversee are local, the demands on their time commitments are minimal, while still allowing participants to help develop the Fraternity’s younger members.
Alumni who are interested in joining the AFT program are encouraged to contact their province’s Grand Praetor. Click here to access the AFT program’s website.
