From Hollywood stars to United States senators, international business leaders to hall of fame football standouts, Sigma Chi has recognized more than 1,800 brothers with the Significant Sig Award since its inception at the 1935 Grand Chapter.
The Fraternity’s awards committee is seeking nominations for the 2019 Significant Sig Award class. Winners will be announced in spring 2019 and honored during the Fraternity’s 82nd Grand Chapter in June 2019.
Alumni in any profession, occupation or service work are eligible for consideration for the award.
Any Sigma Chi alumnus or undergraduate may nominate a brother for the Significant Sig Award. A nomination consists of a completed nomination form; a resume or summary of the nominee’s past and present occupations and positions, professional or civic activities; and honors or awards received.
Nominations are due Nov. 15, and nominators are notified of the committee’s decision by March 15 of the following year.
The nomination form can be accessed here. After logging into members.sigmachi.org, users can find the nomination form under the “alerts” section on the left-hand side of their membership page.
