Allisen Hagemeyer of the University of Cincinnati was announced as the Fraternity's 2017 to 2019 International Sweetheart at the sweetheart reception June 23 at the 81st Grand Chapter at the Omni Providence Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island. She will act as an ambassador for Sigma Chi for the next two years through her involvement in philanthropic and key events, interacting with undergraduates and their chapters.
Hagemeyer was elected to the role by undergraduate delegates at Grand Chapter. She graduated in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in architecture; while in college, she was a project designer in a co-op, during which time she worked with Wentz Design of Cincinnati. She is a volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, for which she was service trip chairman.
Finalists for International Sweetheart were Kellyn McMullen of Ball State University and Hannah Woodruff of the University of Memphis.
