Q: Am I required to complete all of the Transformational Leader Program courses in order to become a full member of Sigma Chi?

A: No, you are not required to complete all of the courses in order to become a full member. Certain courses, such as the Preparation for Brotherhood pledge education program, are required of new members, but others are elective.

Q: How do I sign up for Transformational Leader Program courses? 

A: All new Sigma Chi members receive login credentials for Sigma Chi Online, the Fraternity’s learning management system, when they join the chapter at their school. Each Sigma Chi member can begin available Transformational Leader Program courses by enrolling in them through Sigma Chi Online.

Q: Can I pick and choose which Transformational Leader Program courses I take, or am I required to complete all of them?

A: Yes, you can pick and choose which Transformational Leader Program courses that you take. Certain programs, such as the Preparation for Brotherhood pledge education program, are required of new members but others are elective.

Q: Is there a deadline for when I need to complete my Transformational Leader Program courses?

A: No, there is no deadline to complete Transformational Leader Program courses. All of the courses are available online and are offered in a hybrid format. Many of them can be completed at a student’s own pace.

A: Transformational Leader Program courses are designed to help students excel in and outside of the classroom. The goal of each course is to help graduates acquire a unique set of leadership competencies that are essential to success in the modern workforce.

A: No, there is no cost to Sigma Chi members for participating in Transformational Leader Program courses. The cost of attendance is generously funded by Fraternity alumni and the Sigma Chi Foundation.

Q: Once I’ve completed a certificate program, how do I transfer credit hours from it to my college or university?

A: Once you complete your certificate programs you will receive a transcript from Sigma Chi Leadership Institute, which is under accreditation candidacy by the Middle States Association Commission of Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). You should consult with your college or university regarding the school’s minimum requirements for transfer credit eligibility.

Q: Do other Greek-letter organizations have programs like The Transformational Leader Program?

A: At this time, Sigma Chi International Fraternity is the first to offer a leadership development experience to its members that includes coursework that could potentially yield transferrable credits and digital badges. 

Q: How does my son get involved in these programs?

A: Upon joining Sigma Chi, your son receives access to Sigma Chi Online, which is the Fraternity’s learning management system. He can then enroll in available Transformational Leader programs through Sigma Chi Online.
