EVANSTON, Ill. — The Sigma Chi Foundation proudly congratulates Board of Governors members and Significant Sigs Randy Coppersmith, SOUTH FLORIDA 1979, and Jim Luce, NEVADA-LAS VEGAS 1980, on their selection for induction into the Sigma Chi International Fraternity’s Order of Constantine — the highest honor bestowed upon members of the Fraternity.
Established to recognize brothers who have demonstrated at least 20 years of exemplary service to Sigma Chi, the Order of Constantine honors those whose leadership, dedication, and impact have strengthened the Fraternity at every level. The 2026 honorees will be inducted either at Sigma Chi’s 86th Grand Chapter in Cincinnati, Ohio, in June 2027 or at a local Fraternity event.
Brother Coppersmith, Chairman and CEO of Cortland Advisors, LLC; Chairman of The Hollymar Group; and advisor to several companies, has been a member of the Foundation’s Board of Governors since 2017. During his tenure, he has served on the Audit & Compliance, Development, Nominations and Governance, Finance and Investment, Grants and Scholarship, and Executive committees, including past service as chairman of the Development and Grants and Scholarships committees.
His service to Sigma Chi extends broadly across the organization, including roles on the Significant Sig Selection Committee and the Joint Communications Advisory Group. A founder and steadfast supporter of the Theta Beta Chapter at the University of South Florida, he has served as President of the Theta Beta Foundation and has remained active in the Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia Sigma Chi Alumni Chapters.
Brother Luce, Principal of Danfield Insights, Inc., brings more than 40 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical and hotel and resort industries. Following his graduation from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, he began his volunteer service as Chapter Advisor at Arizona State University chapter, president of the Greater Phoenix Alumni Chapter and as a facilitator and trainer for the Balfour Leadership Training Workshop for several years.
An engaged alumnus in Southern California, Luce was on the board of the Orange County Alumni Chapter and joined the Foundation’s Board of Governors in 2021 and has since served on the Executive, Nominations and Governance, Marketing and Communications (MarCom), and Development committees — chairing both MarCom and Development. He has also played a key role in efforts to return Sigma Chi and the Zeta Chi Chapter to UNLV and to secure expansion at Chapman University in 2024.
Both Brothers Coppersmith and Luce are members of the Sigma Chi Foundation’s William Lewis Lockwood Society, recognizing lifetime giving of $100,000 or more, and the James Parks Caldwell Society, honoring brothers who have made significant legacy commitments to the Foundation.
With their selection to the Order of Constantine, both brothers have now met the three qualifications for inclusion in Sigma Chi’s prestigious Founders Circle — recognizing those whose time, talent, and treasure have made a transformational impact on the Fraternity. They will be formally recognized as Founders Circle members during the 86th Grand Chapter in Cincinnati, Ohio. Fewer than 70 brothers have achieved this distinction.
“Randy and Jim represent the very best of Sigma Chi,” said Sigma Chi Foundation Chairman, Order of Constantine Sig and Significant Sig Jeff Muir, GEORGIA 1971. “Their decades of service, leadership, and generosity have left a lasting mark on our Fraternity and the young men we serve. This recognition is both fitting and well deserved.”
The Sigma Chi Foundation extends its sincere congratulations to both brothers, and the newest members of the Order of Constantine, on their extraordinary honor.
