Nick Swiatkowski, BRADLEY 2012, joined Sigma Chi in the Fall of 2008 at Bradley University, graduating in 2012 with a B.S. in Entrepreneurship.
It was while at Bradley that Nick and Bryan Welch met. Bryan attended the University of Iowa. The two hit it off and were embraced and welcomed with open arms by the brothers of the Delta Rho Chapter.
Upon graduating from Bradley, Nick relocated to Alabama to be with Bryan as he completed Army Flight School. Since 2013, the two have been stationed throughout the United States, and married in 2016.
In 2014, Nick received a direct commission into the United States Navy Reserves as a Supply Corps Officer and was selected for promotion to Lieutenant Commander in 2023. He has been deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2017-2018 to Djibouti, Africa, and in support of Operation Inherit Resolve in 2020 to Kuwait. Bryan completed Army Flight School in 2013 and has flown Blackhawks for the United State Army ever since. He was promoted to Major in 2022 and has been deployed twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 2014-2015 and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel from 2018-2019. Bryan is an accomplished and decorated Army Aviator and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service in Afghanistan.
It was while stationed at JBLM in 2013 that they began pursuing their true passion, real estate. In 2015 the two officially opened Swiatkowski Welch Properties. Their office is now located in Clarksville, Tennessee. Their portfolio consists of many newly developed long-term rental properties along with destination vacation properties across six states. Nick received his MBA in 2019 from Louisiana State University Shreveport, and will complete his Master of Professional Studies in Real Estate at Georgetown in 2023. Bryan received his Master of Operational Studies from the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 2022.
Nick and Bryan have been extremely fortunate in life thanks in part to the countless contributions of individuals who have gone before them to fight for and support diversity and equality.
This scholarship is a small token of their gratitude to those individuals and they hope it will help members of Sigma Chi achieve future success.
While an undergraduate, Nick was a recipient of a Sigma Chi Foundation Scholarship, and the two are honored, along with the support of others, to be able to provide that same opportunity to current and future brothers.
