Sorensen was initiated into the Fraternity’s Beta Epsilon chapter at the University of Utah on June 8, 1954, and later transferred to the University of Southern California where he affiliated with the Fraternity’s Alpha Upsilon chapter. An attorney by trade, Sorensen at various times was senior vice president, secretary and general counsel for Granada Inc., a commercial real estate development and management company. Brother Sorensen’s lifelong commitment and service to Sigma Chi was highlighted by his term as our 54th Grand Consul from 1985 to 1987.
