Associate Director of Curriculum and Development
Allie Colina, M.Ed, LPC, graduated from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, with bachelor of arts degrees in history and education studies, where she was initiated as a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She then served as the program coordinator for Denison’s Campus Leadership and Involvement Center, where she advised Interfraternity Council leaders and developed leadership curriculum and officer transition retreats. Seeing the need for mental health support, emotional intelligence education, and leadership development, she decided to continue her education and received a master’s of education in counseling from DePaul University in Chicago in June 2018. This three year program required clinical hours which she completed as a Career Counselor at Loyola University Chicago. During graduate school she also advised the 300 student IFC community. Allie comes to Sigma Chi having specialized in college student development, and believes that fraternity leaders, when empowered, can make lasting and positive social change. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois, and has enjoyed developing the Fraternity’s education and leadership initiatives as the Associate Director of Curriculum Development.
The curriculum development coordinator works within the Membership Development department supporting the Fraternity’s education and learning initiatives. This includes curriculum development and implementation, membership database administration and data tracking for Sigma Chi’s learning continuum, Preparation for Brotherhood pledge program, Ritual for Life post-initiation training program, Balfour Leadership Training Workshop, Huntsman Horizons Leadership Summit, Crossroads drug and alcohol education program, and alumni training.
